About TAIPING HOUKUI
Originating from the misty, high-altitude slopes of Huangshan, Taiping Houkui is a tea of remarkable scale and precision. Each leaf is a testament to meticulous hand-processing, where large-leaf cultivar buds are individually flattened to preserve their vibrant chlorophyll and delicate aromatics. This variety is celebrated for its Hou Yun (Monkey Rhyme)—a profound, lingering sweetness that coats the throat and remains exceptionally smooth even after multiple steepings. Unlike smaller green teas, Taiping Houkui offers a sophisticated, savory complexity and a clean, crisp finish that reflects the pristine mountain air of its Anhui heritage.
