Where does Charmaro source tea?
We source our collection exclusively from China's most prestigious tea-growing regions. Our offerings include harvests from our private tea gardens as well as curated selections from long-standing partner estates. By maintaining these direct relationships, we ensure every leaf meets our exacting standards for quality, authenticity, and terroir.
What makes Charmaro different from other tea companies?
We prioritize quality over volume. Every tea in our collection is meticulously selected through a rigorous vetting process that begins at the farm level. By sourcing directly from high-altitude gardens and working alongside master producers, we are able to offer rare, single-origin teas that maintain their natural complexity, purity, and seasonal character.
Are your teas organic?
Yes. All of our pure teas are 100% natural and grown using organic practices. We prioritize high-altitude, ecologically balanced tea gardens where the leaves are allowed to grow slowly and naturally, free from synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. This commitment ensures that every cup maintains its authentic flavor profile and health benefits.
How much will one ounce of tea make?
One ounce of our tea is ideal for 4 distinct brewing sessions. By using 6–8 grams of leaf, you can enjoy 7 to 8 infusions per session. This multi-steeping quality is a hallmark of our premium sourcing.
Does your tea contain caffeine?
Yes. Because all traditional teas originate from the same botanical source—the Camellia sinensis plant—caffeine is naturally present in the leaves as a fundamental part of the plant's metabolism. While all six major categories of Chinese tea contain caffeine, the levels vary based on the degree of oxidation and fermentation. Generally, the content follows this order: Black > Yellow > Green > White > Dark > Oolong. For those seeking a caffeine-free experience, we offer a curated selection of premium herbal and floral infusions.
What are your shop's hours?
We process and ship orders during our standard business hours: Tuesday through Sunday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Orders are processed in the order they are received, including those placed on Mondays.
Local pick-up is available at our Vancouver location once you receive a "Completed" or "Confirmed" email notification.
Where does your tea ship from?
Every order is fulfilled and shipped from our Vancouver location at 433 Hornby St, BC, V6C 2Y2.
Who do you ship through?
Orders within Canada are primarily shipped via Canada Post or UPS Ground, ensuring reliable delivery from our Vancouver hub. For our customers in the United States, we utilize USPS or UPS, while all other international orders are dispatched via DHL Express. Please note that international shipments may be subject to additional taxes, tariffs, and duties upon delivery. These fees are determined by the destination country and are not included in the shipping rates calculated at checkout.
How long does it take to ship an order once it is placed?
Most orders are processed and shipped within 1–2 business days of being placed. Orders received on Monday will be prioritized when we reopen on Tuesday. You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your package is on its way.
