Harvested just after the prized Silver Needle, premium White Peony combines down-covered, unopened buds with tender, newly sprouted leaves to offer a richer, more full-bodied profile. Artisans employ a traditional, minimalist approach of extended sun-withering and gentle drying to preserve absolute purity and prevent heavy oxidation. The resulting infusion yields a brilliant, apricot-colored liquor characterized by a masterful balance of delicate honeysuckle, subtle fresh melon, and a grounding, earthy undertone. Upon contact with hot water, the elegant green and silver leaves release an enchanting, complex fragrance, ensuring a perfectly smooth, velvety mouthfeel completely devoid of astringency that endures beautifully across multiple steepings.
